In the rattling rain she whispers aloud
Take me up and up to the rainy cloud
I cannot bear to wait any more
I am wet and dripping to the core

Hold me firm and help me on
The rain and you, please pour on
Bending backwards she held it in
Her trust was firm still within.

Love and rain such lovely mates
Barriers break with streams in spate.
The love and hug in blinding rain
Is just that moment to relive again.
