Rain Poem by Jordan Cunningham

Rain

Rain! Oh beautiful water which cleanses my mind
You provide comfort and grant me continual sleeps
When life provides hardships from people unkind
You show me true natural beauty, the sky weeps

It weeps for the hope the world may one day be truly free
Free from poverty, abuse, sadness, evilness and pain
It sheds its heavenly tears and begs the world, it makes its plea
Oh why can't fears be cast away, simply disappear down the drain!

Alas! I fear the world may never be rid of the things which chain us in sorrow
For it is simply too late and some things can never be undone once begun
But this does not fill me with fear and shame for the sky has something to borrow
It borrows the world a shower of comfort and love which leads the way to the sun
