Rain Poem by Daniel Bunt

Rain

Rating: 5.0

It comes, It goes,
In some places it stays.
Although mostly downwards,
It can travel sideways!

Across oceans and land,
It's all just the same.
But throw in some wind,
It can become quite insane!

Some people might say,
It lives high up in the sky.
And the ground it just visits,
Until the Sun, helps its goodbye.

Next time your outside,
Take a quick look up.
And if your face gets wet,
Your eyes will close shut!

If I was not on the ground,
And I stayed up in the Sky.
Plants, Trees and Wildlife.. Maybe you?
Would surely soon die.

So be happy I visit!
Even if not for very long!
And please PLEASE.. blame the WIND!
If things should go wrong!

Great work Daniel. Curious if this was your first cyclone and hope every thing is still in one piece. Welcome to Poemhunter.

Thank you :) I like to think i have a creative mind. One example of many for the future, but I do feel sometimes as though something of importance needs to occur, before I can really focus on a great poem.
