Rain Ritual Poem by Anthony Somoza

Rain Ritual

Have you noticed the rains ritual,
the dance it makes everytime,
when they fall to their demise with pride,
you see its splash shrug and make its circle,
dance entertaining us with its ritual,
it lies in wait for recesatation,
when the lord of heatened light comes its way,
just like an old proverb,
in a book that time has laid to waste,
the ritual happens without warning or planning,
for closure you can hear the music play,
the instruments of a darkened day.
