Rainbow Poem by Alyssa Rieper

Rainbow

Intro

Thinking of a rainbow, innocent at mind
To not think it beautiful, consider you blind
After rain, feeling no way out
A rainbow shows a different route

OR DOES
IT?
----
Rainbow

A massive puddle of splattered RED
From the blood that she shed
Drained from marks on her wrist
Her life is never to be missed
The slits that she carelessly made
With a ORANGE handled silver blade
She looks up toward the sky
A YELLOW moon brightly shines
Slowly dieing from all these lies
Color fading from GREEN eyes
A BLUE tear falls from her face
Hitting the ground, heart at a race
INDIGO droplets fall from the sky
Mix with the blood, and meaningless lies
Now, dead, blood runs down her hand
Turning her as purple as a VIOLET crayon
