Rainbow Promise Poem by Royston Nella

Rainbow Promise

The rainbow shone through the darkened sky
as the storm clouds raced rapidly by.
The storm passed with its fury unleashed
and all was quiet as the downpour ceased.

Its bright colours stretched across the sky
lifting the heads of all those passing by.
The promises of God were in that bow
declared in the heavens for us to know.

Never again will the whole Earth be covered.
Never again will humanity be smothered.
We use a rainbow to remind us of the NHS
as thanks for their help in times of distress
