Rainbow Times Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

Rainbow Times

Rainbow times

Dark clouds
On the
Eastern sky
Hidden Sun
I forget
To fly.

Roar of thunder
Winds and rain
Fear of life
My limbs
Bound
In chains

Gusts and bursts
Now shake my tree
Now weak roots
Where do I flee

Lo and behold!
The rains just stopped
No more winds
Or Thunderous
Lightening showers.

Western skies
Now richly adorned
There is a rainbow
Your smile
Did this all.

Just as I wanted
To live my life again
Took away my rainbow
Leaving me
Heartache and pain.

I have still Been touched
With the prismatic Burst
One day
Truly pure magic
Will be mine
In this
I trust
Nalini
