Raining During Beltane Poem by Justin Gildow

Raining During Beltane

It's Beltane
And Mother Nature has chosen to pay us all a visit
Letting the sky cry its own tears down to Earth

It's raining during Beltane
And we're feeling the effects of it
But somehow, we try not to let it annoy us too much

Your glitter and makeup is running down your face
And my face paint is running down my face as well
Yet in a strange way
It makes us look exotic and ethereal
As we look a part of make believe
And a part of being real
This Beltane

It's raining during Beltane
And it's not just affecting you and me
Everyone else is feeling the effects of the rain

Even though it's raining during Beltane
We're still going to have fun in the rain
Whether singing or dancing
Or anything else that'll come along the way
We're going to enjoy ourselves
At least for Beltane
At least for today
