Raining Heat Poem by Noorie Ali

Raining Heat

it rained in heat
as the summer slowly kicked in
skipping each beat as it poured
down beneath
the coconut
and the palm trees

it rained in heat
while the children played
around ally's in sandy streets
jumping at height so far out to reach

it rained in heat
where there was no castles
underneath the pebbles
that showed amongst other Grey stones

it rained in heat
the rain drops tasted sweet
as the warmth touched our skin
sucking in the moment.

it rained it heat
while we danced innocently
singing LA LA LA HMMhmmHmm OoOoo LalAlA but quietly.
