Where do we start?
Should we climb to the highest mountain peak?
Or walk naked on the streets of life?
Maybe we should all sing about it
Because it seems like music has a large audience and following
But no, we cannot all sing
But yes, we can all start within our cycles, family and friends, our communities
Yes, we can say no to the abuse of women and girls
We can say no to the hardships thrown at them
We can advocate for change in their homes
Not only through harsh laws
But through empowerment and awareness
We can cut the ribbon to equality and prosperity
We can open our hearts to their suffering
And understand their circumstances
We can stop judging and start caring
We can erect a fortress of unconditional Love
And fill their hearts with joy
Yes, we can reinforce their foundation
Undress their garment of vulnerability
And address their needs
The abuse of females (women and girls) can only stop,
If men and women are united in their disgust
And willingness to sacrifice their time and deeds for them
If we form a human shield around all females
Regardless of their race, religion or economic status
We can form a ring of love around their lives
And be married to their needs
We can write poems about them
Solidify their status as the most beautiful human beings
Paint their faces with hope, peace and love
Yes, we can climb the highest mountain of care
And show the world our hearts
We can embrace the girl child and mentor her
In all the ways of life
We can all reach deep into our being
And touch our feminine spirit
As a celebration of our oneness
