Raju (My Mahal) Poem by Minerva Agriam

Raju (My Mahal)

Oh sparkling nature upon this earth!
Exotic beauty, peaceful and true;
Here at the earth side you dwell;
Here at my eyes you spell.
You came rather like a fallen
Star from above;
Bringing sweet promises
Only you can offer;
But you're also the only one
Who abused them;
Bringing rather destructions
To yourself!
Now my poor heart
Is full of needless pains;
But well, it's really not fully broken.
Because the shames are
For you rather than for anyone else.
Now my dear mahal listen,
Please don't cut your
Long wavy hair simply
Because you looked rather
Silly by the courseness of
Your unruly short head coverings!
Even if by your selfishness
You've shaken my weak flesh,
It had made my faith to God
Even more beautiful!
And wiser and prettier I had become,
Even with not the exotic beauty
That you alone has.
Then I know that as surely
As the great sun,
Always shines above,
Pensive or bright its always there,
To give life to all beings.
Soon my own short wavy hair
Will surely grow long,
And be able to copy
The movements of your
Playful curly hair.
Even if I can't always remember
How your innocent eyes and
Sweet face draw me to know you;
But I will always remember,
That I came to love my own
Wavy hair because of the passing
Rendezvous with you.
Then I hope that time will come
That liken my sweet Angel above,
I will be able to fly
To surprise you with my presence;
And bring my little hand across
Your sweet innocent face;
Then plant some childish hugs
And kisses upon your shrewdness;
Hoping that the Heavens
Will heal your poor soul, greatly
Beloved by our Almighty Creator.
Please be good my dear mahal,
God surely loves us all but will
Also punish the willful soul.
