Ramona Poem by Marquita Lawson

Ramona

Dear Ramona, you may be gone from California,
but you'll always be here in our hearts
Dear Ramona, you may be gone from California,
but you'll always be here in our hearts

What a joy you'd bring with your smile; we'd sit, and visit awhile
We'd talk about what matters; No time for idle chatter
And we left with a song in our hearts.
Dear Ramona, you may be gone from California,
but you'll always be here in our hearts

Time spent with all who were lonely;
Kind words to those who were sad.
Everywhere that you turned - your tender heart yearned
To help all who came with a need.
Dear Ramona, you may be gone from California,
but you'll always be here in our hearts

We miss your humor and all those great songs you wrote.
We miss your fellowship sweet
It's a long way between here and Ohio
One day in God's heaven we'll meet.
Dear Ramona, you may be gone from California,
but you'll always be here in our hearts

God bless you, our sister Ramona.
May your walk with Him ever grow.
May He lengthen your days, building you in many ways.
And fill the desires of your heart.
Dear Ramona, you may be gone from California,
but you'll always be here in our hearts
Dear Ramona, you may be gone from California,
but you'll always be here in our hearts
