Rape... Poem by Sarrah Murtaza

Rape...

Oh! Lord...why did you make me a girl?
Even if you did, why did you make me so vulnerable?
Did you not once think of what harm could befall me?
Never once did you think that I could be a prey to some of the vultures.

My head spins at some of the horrific stories
As tears never cease to fall
And the heart pains for those beautiful girls
Who senselessly lost their lives.

Oh! Lord why didn't you save them from those lustful eyes
Who tore them and bit them apart
As blood oozed from every part
As one by one they shamelessly broke her apart

A woman snatched of her rights
A mother whose tears will never cease to fall
A father who entire world shattered before his eyes
A society who just shake their heads and silently watch.

Those hungry animals roaming free
As the next victim falls prey
And the vicious cycle goes on…..
And the world silently watches

Oh demonic Satan!
What possess you?
Aren't you born from your mothers?
Don't you have daughters, Sisters or Wives?

You reap what you sow
As the curse befalls you
Never even try to lift your eye with that lustful look
For a woman, is the Lord's sacred creation…

HIS wrath shall befall on you
For a few minutes of your so called "manliness"
Oh! Coward … A real man is the one who can respect a woman
Forget not the curse will always follow you!

Depressing. True about the silently watching part. Our society is full of cowards, that's how we are controlled and are ultimately belittled.
