if you have been drawn to our lonely room
by the deafening sound of my silent scream
don't be frightened; it's just that i'm mourning
the death of our last earthly dream
it's been a violent and bloody battle
consuming most of our 'living' years
it's time, now, to bury it deep in the dirt
and hope it kills, with it, our fears
We no longer have any reason to climb
have neither strength nor will to search
touched by each soul placed in our path
and viewed a world void of opulent perch
We go on the labor the birth of the wings
that will pilot our final flight home
Where from fresh springs flow joy and peace
as all before ~ in an instant ~ is gone.
Our fresh new hope is that freedom's wait
doesn't drag on as longs as the dream
we'll soon touch down into the hereafter...
to embark eternity, redeemed!
