Rapunzel Poem by Dani Arrow

Rapunzel

From her lonely tower she will watch out
Waiting for her true love to appear
Paying for a crime she hasn't done now
Singing songs no one might ever hear

Like abandoned flowers she would wither
As the winter reached into her heart
And the walls she built with fear will crumble
Only if she's open for a start

As the desert wind was painting pictures
With the sand right there around her door
She was watching nature take its part and
Realized her walls were nothing more

She's hoping someday someone comes her way
To ease her lonely, troubled mind
She's hoping somewhere someone will tell her
That love is not just for the blind
