Rats On Acid Poem by E.J. Langley

Rats On Acid

I am the sidewalk

I am the dog

As she is the dusky jewel whose legs extend upward to the sky

Defiant!

From here
I'm lucky to even glimpse
the precious peach
or her sweet young love

as it's moisture falls slowly to the pavement
in tiny wet diamonds
to eat through the sidewalk

like Rats on Acid
