Lots of running, loads of pushing,
It made a busy site.
Grabbed in their own troubles,
Nobody saw her plight.
Clothes tattered,
Eyes filled with pain,
She was sitting,
In the corner of the lane.
She does not want money,
Nor any sympathy.
She is the example of
Our society’s apathy.
She sits there,
challenging everyone.
Who thinks their duty,
For the society is done.
She is silent,
But her eyes speak.
She is determined to survive,
But the chances are weak.
She too wants a home,
A two time meal.
She too wants to know,
How being a human feel.
If their duty,
Everyone realize,
Then the dream of a perfect society
Will materialize.
Because there’s a way up,
Even if there’s a slope.
And amongst the gravest situation,
There’s a RAY OF HOPE! ! ! !
Silent but eyes are speaking, ray of hope is there... lovely poem.
