Re-Birth Poem by Courtney Beaudry

Re-Birth

There's so much I should say
To express how I feel
But words are sticky, hanging here now
Been so long, I didn't know if I could keep waiting
Never knew another chance was abound

And now I've said
The words I feared were never dead
That I can't hold back
It's purely a fact!

That I can't help but smile when you're around
That I can't see or hear another sound
And I feel your prescence when I sleep
I've given you half my heart to keep
I just don't know what's to happen from here
As long as you're around I'll never fear

Life is beautiful, and I'm beginning to enjoy it
Now that you and me, is we, once more
I can face everything in store
No person can hold us back now
And I'm happy you are here
Forever be near

And now I've said
The words I feared were never dead
That I can't hold back
It's purely a fact!

That I can't help but smile when you're around
That I can't see or hear another sound
And I feel your prescence when I sleep
I've given you half my heart to keep
I just don't know what's to happen from here
But as long as you're around, I'll never fear
