Darkness Poem by Courtney Beaudry

Darkness

I watch the darkness
In its everlasting grim
I see it clearly
The peace that it can bring
I hold its treasures
Its unbeknownst pleasures
Always a hoping, praying friend
It will be right there
Right till the end
Never does it lead astray
Keeps you safe from the tortures of the day
In the darkness we are free
In the darkness we can see...

I hadn't really thought about that since I was a child, but I remember feeling the same way about the darkness. Its funny how memories come back. GW62
