Reach For Beauty Within Poem by Debora Soramaki

Reach For Beauty Within

Why do you stare in the mirror all day?
Why don't you come outside and play?
There's more to life than seeing your face,
You need to get yourself a new place.
The girls at school are tall and thin
With swollen lips and perfect chin.
You say you want to be that way
But you don't know the price you'll pay.
What counts is personality
Your strengths not vulnerability.
The outer shell does not bring joy,
It's what's inside a girl or boy.,
Your likes and dislikes, favorite food,
Whether you're in a good or bad mood,
Knowledge and talents,
Language and Art
Is what determines and sets you apart.
So lets go out and breath the air,
You'll feel a whole lot better out there.
