Reach You Poem by Wright Palafox

Reach You

Velvety, vast, the heavens would bear,
Stars which dazzle, glisten, and gleam,
Elegant, jovial, persona so rare,
For evermore you’d vividly seem,

I see you soaring ever so higher,
Upon the threshold, peripheries a bound,
Otherwise falling ever so deeper,
Into the dark abyss, no soul has found,

Held above by favored inclination,
Restrained below by predestined fate,
Higher obscured by clouds of indecision,
I must reach out before it’s too late,

This lonesome void, unfilled in between,
Desperate, weary, soon hopelessly I’d fall,
For my prayers, already you’ve seen,
So please…for a moment…heed this call,

Your heart’s been held, time and again,
I know together we could never be,
My skies now, once turning gray,
I love you forevermore, can’t you see?

And as you flutter gracefully above,
I stand and stretch forth the hand such to,
Like those wings you spread, as a dove,
I try…and try…to reach for you…
