Read A Book Poem by David Minor

Read A Book

Rating: 4.0

When's the last time you grabbed a book
And read to your heart's content
How long since your imagination went wild
Over the hours that you spent
Have you ever read to your kids?
An adventure in your mind
Or has the power of social media
Left you in a bind
Cell phones, computers, and video games
Has stolen hours out of your day
Hours of nonsense and dillydally
Technology has gotten in the way
Read a book
Set free your mind
Let loose your imagination
You'll be amazed at what you find

When's the last time you grabbed a book And read to your heart's content? Every single day. I love to read. What will people do when the power goes off and they can't access their electronic items? A very nice poem. It appears to be the first one that you have posted on this site. Welcome to Poem Hunter!
