Reading With My Cat Poem by Josephine Lauderdale

Reading With My Cat

Go sit by the fire will you? ?
my lap is occupied
Don't look at me that way

I'm busy

Please don't roll over and stretch

Because then

I might have to get up and pet you

The fire is warm,,, you know
But not as warm
As our hearts weave
From lap to lap

Get settled

Let's look at the fire together
Purring
The authors of
A book called love
