Real Poem by Don Prem Legaspi

Real

Real eyes
Of the truest auburn hue
Able to see what lies beneath
But chooses to remain blind
Blind to the lies and deceipt
To the pain given and received
For the hue now lie used
Those eyes of auburn true

Realize
Suffering is to life
Persisting through our days
I plead to ease the knife
End this dark, eloquent play
This ending's bittersweet sway
Close your heart, open your eyes
Life is suffering realized

Real lies
Holding this web of fake truths
Words altogether still soothes
Our sinew Guilded with sin
As I plant the seeds within
Twisting this dance of sighs
Enveloped in your Disguise
Real eyes realize real lies
