Real Face Poem by Tribhuvan Mendiratta

Real Face

Remove the Mask:
Like those and be like those;
who tell tough truths in gentle ways.
The little-things-oriented.
Big-picture thinkers.
Dreamers.
Deep feelers.
Old souls.
Young spirits.
Goofballs.
Those who don't make you choose
between what's right for you and
what's most convenient for them.
The person who listens to understand,
and doesn't just wait for their turn to speak.
The ones you can share comfortable silences
with loud laughers.
Quiet good-doers.
Folks who can admit
when they're wrong or
don't know something.
Anyone who makes you remember
that faces without mask still exist.
