I love the sun, the open sky,
No hidden corners for me to lie.
The ocean wide, my only screen,
A steady journey, bold and keen.
Through dark tunnels, I walked so tall,
No shame for stumbling, or standing small.
The steps I took, the paths I trod,
Both wrong and right, sent by my God.
No perfect soul, that much is true,
But nothing hidden, nothing new.
The good, the bad, they made me me,
A human soul, both wild and free.
And in this truth, I find my ease,
Just breathing in the gentle breeze.
No need to vanish, fade from sight,
I am myself, in broad daylight.
