Real Love Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Real Love

Love feels bright, like sunshine warm,
Then clouds can gather, bringing storm.

Love gets overwhelmed, a rushing tide,
Too much at once, nowhere to hide.

Love gets hurt, a scrape, a bruise,
A silent ache that very slowly grows.

Love gets frustrated, can't quite see,
The path ahead, for you and me.

Love gets scared, a chilling fear,
Of losing you, of holding dear.

But real love? It's strong and true,
It sees the storm and stays with you.

Real love shows up, through thick and thin,
A steady hand, where storms begin.

Real love chooses, with open eyes,
Even when it wants to say goodbye.
