Reality Check Poem by Anita Khelawan

Reality Check

I would have liked to kiss your greater
Do it again and not worry about the morning after
My brain still trying to comprehend
In the midst of it all, where did our friendship end

The painting we made was beautiful
Speaking without words I heard you
Two consenting adults equally yoked

I was first but I had skipped my turn
Now full circle and you're one more lesson to learn
Between us there's no good circumstance
Our meeting occurred by happenchance
Making love with no I love you
You in me I understood why your words were few

Breathe on me baby, but don't breed me baby

I don't expect nothing from you
I'm not sure if I want to be with you
We lasted for three rounds, three hours
With three cuddling intervals
Holding each other like its home
I would have still picked you if you were a clone
