Realty A Dream Poem by Spencer Reuillard

Realty A Dream

Rating: 4.5

The two of us would lie on a hill.
the grass and flowers would be our bed, swaying in the wind that would touch our faces.

The foods have been tasted and the drinks have been drained,
And we stare.
We stare at each others eyes,
We stare into our wants.
Our wants... our desires
I desire her, and she desires me.

When we stare at our each other, we stare at ourselves,
Our wants... our desires
All we can think of is:
Beauty
She laughs, and that makes me smile.

The clock hastily slides the clouds across the horizon
And the sun slowly to darkness
She lowers her head to my chest watching the darkening sky.

My eyes would close and my hands would caress her hair.
I’m touching my dream, my passion, my wants,
My desires

Her eyes close and her lips smile in a moment of peace.
My eyes would open to a dark newborn sky,
And all troubles fade away,
Like birds in the winter
Then I say:
”What a Dream! ”
