My Blackened Rose Poem by Spencer Reuillard

My Blackened Rose

Rating: 5.0

A thousand peddles lay broken at me feet,
They are the broken tears of my shattered queen.
Fallen out of her tower she weeps all alone,
And where her heart once beat lays a shattered throne.

My blackened rose has been undone,
There have been no blue skies, no more sun.
What can I do to mend these empty days?
And stop her tears from falling!

I gather her peddles to restore
The beauty that ones stood up from this earth,
But her veins have all run dry, due to her battles cry,
So my flesh kisses her lips and strains my eyes.

My blackened rose has been undone,
There have been no blue skies, no more sun.
What can I do to mend these empty days?
And stop her tears from falling!

So I give myself away and give to her,
The hope of sunny days and no more hurt.
I lay by her side and watch her dancing stride,
As the pain that once was hers now is mine.

But my blackened rose has been remade.
There will be no more darkness just the shade,
To calm her beating heart of playful days,
And stop her tears from falling!

Stop her tears from falling!
