Reason Poem by Ragy Sandid

Reason

Rating: 5.0

Why do I lose the ones I love
Is the mix unstable?
Is there too much hate I'm unaware of
Or I just don't warrant the label?

Where do they go when they go
Can I find them and bring them back?
Was I too lazy with something to show
Or they simply had too much love in their stack?

Did I love them enough?
Did they ever give me any of it again?
Did I purchase a brand that's tough
That didn't soften no matter how hard I bend?

One day a smile, one day a cheer
Few days later it's all gone in a drain
Did I actually see what I saw? Was I here?
Was I a partner in this scheme for pain?

I stand in a square. I call to them all.
Come to me. I stand alone to the sky.
I still love you and love you still and I stall
Till you come and give me reason to love
But don't tell me why
