Reason Poem by Rex-mayor Ubini

Reason

I know you have seen a seed
that grows aloof the shades of a giant tree,
Though it is prone to inconveniences of weeds,
different parasites and diseases,
but through diligence and prayer,
it learns to make its dream come true.

But the seed that grows under a mighty tree;
with thick shades of influence and protection,
enjoys the umbrella it gives,
Against the bruising claws of the sun.
But it grows sluggishly,
Because it finds it uneasy to cook its own food.
And could barely make its dream come true.
So it feeds from the might tree.
And can never grow as huge…

Now you understand the human family
Show me a great man
and I will show you their children.
Everyone born into penury,
is born into affluence in disguise.
In the life of many it may not be realized
‘Cause they spend too much time asking God why.
