Reason Not To Be Poem by Jhon Doe

Reason Not To Be

Is it really worth it
all the pain you have caused
I know you don't try
but the pain is still too great
are my aches, pains, and scars worth it
are they worth the smile on your face
are they worth your sweet soft words
when all that I have to do is look at you
I feel it come and kill me inside
'just one more look' I said with a cringe
when all this was new and unknown
but now it isn't
and I know the pain too well
I see you in my sleep
and the pain always follows
but how do I say no the my former reason to be
I can't run because your image would still haunt me
and maybe the only way for you to leave
is for me to say this
I was blind, but now I can see
that everything was a lie
and that the happiness and laughs will all fade
and that you're not worth all the scars you gave.
