Reason Vs. Lust - Poem by Mariam de Haan

Your hands placed right there
Too close to yearn more
And yet comforting

Your chest up close
As the heart beats,
Thalump
Thalump

Your smell thickens
Fills me with desire
Pull back the Mind says
As Lust moves closer.

Reason wins this time.
As I bid you good bye
And my desire becomes a muted lullaby.
