Rebirth Poem by George Tumaob Calaor

Rebirth

It is not forsaking
when sometimes…
the moon rested its glow to bloom
the stars hide their flickers behind dark clouds
the wind stops its breeze from blowing
for it is just a while of thinking
in the while when silence allows the night birds to sing their serenade that heals
the pains of a wounded heart of a weary soul.
It is not the end of living
when sometimes…
the dawn asks the sun from rising its rays up to the sky
asking the sea to desist from kissing its ocean
to the shore
cease the rivers from cascading
its flows to the sea
for it is just a while of wading
in the while of shining life
to its new birth from a fall
for the grave of yesterdays' fall
is the womb that conceives the birth of one to stand tall!
