Rebuild Poem by Annie Copper

Rebuild

I look upon you sleeping, dreaming peacefully,
Listening to your breathing, loving you deeply.
Only I wish to wake you, and feel your skin on mine,
Vanish all my worries, and let our souls entwine.
Every day I've missed you, I've been a complete mess,
Yesterday was awfull, I was in such distress.
Occluded was my mind to others, I only though of you,
Unanswered went my calls and texts, the knife had cut right though.
Monday was quickly coming round, would you soon arrive?
I didn't know if you'd be here, if your love could survive.
Killing me so slowing, I tried hard to suppress,
Each moment 'till I saw you, I felt only bareness.
I really need to feel you, I need to feel your heart,
Mine has just been crumbling, since we had to part.
Only hope is what remains, I hope we can rebuild,
Reconfirm the love we have, let our hearts be filled.
Reaching out to you I plead, can you forgive me,
You are the only one for me, without I'd be empty.
