Reciprocated - Poem by Brian Lee

You go watch a movie,
and your holding hands
Her head on your shoulder
So your making plans

But you can hug, and you can kiss
But it's the love that you miss

When it's not reciprocated

She smiles and tells you
That we're only friends
Then gives a hug and a kiss
When the evening ends

But you can hug and you can kiss
But it's the love that you miss

When it's not reciprocated

You love her so, but she says no
What do you do, when she says to you
I love you dearly, but I'm not nearly
In love with you

She smiles and tells you
That we're only friends
Then gives a hug and a kiss
When the evening ends

But you can hug and you can kiss
But it's the love that you miss

When it's not reciprocated
