Recoil From Turmoil Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

Recoil From Turmoil

Ripples and waves
In one quite lake
For something has happened
Her heart is at stake

For so many years
A water body, passive in flow
Something happened overnight
Now we find it's waters aglow,
Just so bright

That churning within
Causing water to spin
And she crosses and spills
Over her peaceful brinks

The first sip of ambrosia
Her colour turns fuchsia
How will she contain
This pleasurable pain
The day passive lake
Flooded the terrain
