Reconciliation Poem by Butterflies In My Belly Forever

Reconciliation

I reconciled my anger today.
I faced it head on, was honest about it and then tried to tuck it away.
That did not work so I wrote you a letter.
I told you both that I know what you did.
Then I reached down in my heart and forgave you for it.
I reconciled my anger today.

I reconciled my hurt today.
I looked it in the eyes, wallowed around in it for a while,
and then I tried to tuck it away.
That did not work so I took the time to cry.
I connected with the hurt so that I could say good-bye.
I reconciled my hurt today.

I reconciled my love today.
I reached for it, opened myself up and tried to take it,
as I did not want that to go away.
That did not work so I decided to let that baggage go,
I love you more than you will ever know.
I am now complete as I reconciled my love today.
