Reconciliation Poem by Hebert Logerie

Reconciliation

You did not kill my mother
And I did not shoot your father
Why can't we reconciliate?
Oh! Lord, it is never too late
To do the right or correct things
To kiss and make up as the rooster sings.

Life is too short to hold grudges
Let's stop acting like partial judges
Let's be fair to ourselves, my friend
Let's go on the beach to play in the sand
You and I will draw little hearts of love
As the doves and the laughing gulls fly above.
