Red And White Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Red And White

Red
Red and white
But then
Red and dusk
Then
Turquoise and red
There was the coffin
The sounding of the bed
Where last Night slept
Mourning-funereal
Under the stars and
A lofty moon
And
Low vibrated a cemetery bell.
Mechanical.
Low
