Red Earth Parade - Poem by Marilyn Lott

With such great anticipation
The Red Earth Parade
Is back in town for us watch
Many preparations have been made

Beautiful costumes adorned
With beads and feathers and such
There are so many things going on
At times there’s a bit of a rush

The horses too are decked out
And they seem so very proud
Prancing down the street
Performing for the crowd

The music is mesmerizing
You just want to tap your feet
Little children too dressed up
Their faces are so very sweet

So if you never have attended
Preparations should be made
Be sure to join us this year
For the delightful Red Earth Parade
