The moon was the colour of blood,
Stars dripped like tears from the sky,
Fires danced on the face of the ocean
As the sun lay distant from our eyes.
A child prayed by a lonely rainbow
As it’s colours and beauty began to fade,
The rainclouds were gathering, storms were in place
While temples & shrines disappeared in the shade.
Love was but an ancient memory,
A memory that demons stole,
And we stand within the land of purgatory
While the devil has consumed and stolen our soul.

A dark rendition of things to come? Perhaps, and well said. GW62
