Neighbors nickname her Red Woman
A kind and gentle lady is she
Calm, loving, friendly and carefree
What a dear
Always full of cheer
A humble smile
All the while
in her daily greeting
around the neighborhood.

A dozen ducks
a young turkey
and a FAT goose she rears
Come evening
Feeding time for her feathered friends
Red Woman
calling them in a sing-song manner in Chinese
'OBEE, OBEE SHEA, SHEA, SHEA' which means
Come, come, eat, eat, eat.

The love in her eyes
Red Woman's daily pleasure.
