Redefined
Everything redefined
By failure and loss
Disgrace and shame
And agony of pain
Who knows the void
Of heart and mind
If trouble is more
Than hope can find
Reaching out
And nothing there
The grasp and clutch
Of thinning air
O God, be there
Desire and want
Unmet and lost
A wasting torment
Of circles
No beginning
No end
No resting place
