I plunge into the Pacific
Delving deep into her womb.
In a dark, sequestered crevice
Upon the ocean bed,
I discover a stone sculpture.
Clasping it in my arms
And holding it close to my heart
I recover it from dark precipices.
On reaching the surface
Holding it up against incessant sunbeams
I rediscover my long lost
Smiling Buddha.
