Reductionist Poem by RIC BASTASA

Reductionist

you do not have to give me
the whole of you to love you
a piece of your mind is enough
it may not last a lifetime but
it may help me survive as i
begin to gather the shattered
pieces of my being, as i begin
to assemble my eyes, my nose
my arms that you have taken.
