Reflections Poem by Serge Kapol

Reflections

Rating: 5.0

Stare up at the moon
I wonder if you
Are staring at it too?

Remember that day
That day of rain
That day of pain

Left behind
In the puddles of the sky
Reflection's burned in my mind

Everywhere I go
And Everyplace I know
I can only see

Your reflection.

The stars shine bright
Long into the night
Shattering the sky

A fall from grace
Wallow in disgrace
Adrift in space

In the constellation
Of this creation
I see the reflection

Everywhere I go
And Everyplace I know
I can only see

Your reflection.

The reflection of a loved one that you lost, perhaps. Sounds like we are both reeling from heartache, Serge. But you are young, that's where the 'resiliency of youth' kicks in. In my case: total devastation - but, I'll live :) Keep on writing, I enjoy this work.
