Reflections Poem by Ciarán Kelly

Reflections

Rating: 5.0

Down by the water a mirror appears,
Quivering thoughts of love and fears,
Staring games so real and stern,
Riddles in the ripples turn,
An image of dream-like reality swirls,
Shadows shimmer as silhouettes in the twirls.
The Pyromaniac princess from the water stares,
Flooding my heart with her arsonous flares,
A lazy layman woos the pedestaless godess,
Nomadic addicts for each others caresses,
A collage of mirages send images beyond,
Realitys' horizon drowns in the pond,
Suddenly my shoulder is touched in the dream,
Eroding all pollutive worries, we gleam,
Untouched by the ways of the world above,
Below, a whorl of unwavering love!
