Reflections —
on ambition and peace of mind,
forces poised against each other.
What is seen is not what is seen —
more than the visible,
there ambition moves,
a stubborn octopus.
Peace — a calm within chaos,
arising out of wisdom.
What is within is more than within;
looking inward, one finds
a quiet, sufficient joy —
therein lies human freedom.
Ambition, at last, consumes itself;
peace unfurls
and emancipates.
